Bravo (M) is an 8mo American Bulldog mix. He is currently living with his foster mom and canine foster sister in an apartment!

Bravo is house and crate trained, and loves all people! Sometimes Bravo is so excited to meet new people that he will pee a little - oops! Bravo is working on meeting new people calmly and sometimes needs reminders that he can't jump up and lick their face. Bravo has not been tested with kids, and while he has shown nothing but love for all people, he might be too big, bouncy and exuberant for young kids - even adults complain about his tail whips!

Bravo is very smart and takes to training well. He knows all of his basic commands and is always working on learning something new. He picks up new things quickly and does well with distractions and duration. His foster mom describes him as "literally perfect" working on his loose leash walking, and has also taken him hiking on a long leash.  Although he lives in an apartment now, Bravo can whine or bark for 5-10 minutes after his foster mom leaves, or when he hears noises in the hall, so adopters in apartments or townhouses should be mindful of their neighbours before applying.

Bravo lives with a canine foster sister and has done well with every dog he has met in care, although he does have a typical big pushy bully play style that not all other dogs appreciate. He needs a confident furever home that is able to advocate for him, and not put him in situations that make other dog owners uncomfortable. He loves fetch, chewing a bone in his crate, and would be a good jogging companion.

Bravo was surrendered to Taffy's Legacy for resource guarding, however we have not had any issues in care. His future home should be mindful of this and not put him or any people in a situation where there might be a conflict. For this reason, Bravo would not be a good fit for a home with young kids.

This is what Bravo's foster mom has to say about him:

"Bravo is a pleasure to have in the home. He has a big goofy personality and loves people. He is very interested in playing with dogs but sometimes can be overwhelming and too big of a player for a timid dog. He is great on leash and we have gone on many adventures including walks, trail hikes, and runs. He needs structure in the home - including crate, training, and boundaries. The crate is great for him to remember to settle and have a nap. He settles well out of the crate if he has a bone or toy."
