Diadora is a 12yo Shepherd X. She currently lives with her foster parents and canine foster sister in an apartment.

Diadora is house and crate trained, though she does sometimes like to sing the song of her people to settle in at first! She loves her humans, and once you aren't a stranger to her (she can be wary of newcomers and her gaze is one of a staring contest champion), she's more than happy to have you around. Cats aren't really her cup of tea so a home that is feline-free would be ideal for her!

Don't be fooled by her age -- it's just a number, after all! Diadora is full of energy and loves to go on adventures with her canine foster sister. She loves a good, long walk in the great outdoors! She can be reactive to other dogs, but as long as she has humans to advocate for her and the comfort of knowing she doesn't have to meet every dog that passes by, she is a happy camper. With her years of experience in being a dog, she's earned the right to pick and choose her pals as she pleases ;).

A few more fun facts about Diadora... she loves to swim, she'll share her toys with her humans and her most trusted canine friends (new friends and sharing? No thanks!), and she is not a huge fan of road trips! She’s very sweet and affectionate with her people and always wants to be near them when they're home. She’s very quirky and great inside of the home -- if only she could be like that out of the house! She sleeps all day, loves her walks and comes home and plays with her toys, and then naps again.

Here's what Diadora's foster mom has to say about her:

"Diadora is super sweet with her people once she knows and trusts them. She just wants to be near you and will whine if you don’t pay enough attention to her. Her love for other animals is very selective though. She’s great with her doggy foster sister and could live with a submissive calm sibling. But her adopters will need to be comfortable working on her reactivity on walks. We go for 3 walks a day and manage her reactivity with a soft muzzle and avoid close interactions with other dogs.

Diadora is perfect in the house, aside from her excited barking when you get home from work and it’s walkies time! She knows her basic commands and will do anything for a treat! She loves to play with toys and play tug with us and her foster sister- she’s a very strong 12-year-old! You wouldn’t guess her age by looking at her. She loves to go on walks and has no problem jumping into the car but can be a little sore after a long hike. She loves a good nap after her walks! She’s looking for a retirement home and hopes someone can look past her quirks as she’s pretty perfect inside the house and has lots of love to give!"

Adoption Fee: $400

Vetting: Diadora is fully vetted and on seasonal heartworm preventative. She has no known health concerns.

Lulu is being fostered in Toronto, ON.

Our new dogs are on an INTAKE HOLD. We will accept applications and emails from approved adopters, however, we do not know enough about them to make any matches at this time. Thank you in advance for your patience as we get to know their personalities in order to find the best matches for our dogs and adopters, alike!
