Jujubee - ON HOLD

Good with Dogs

Older Kids

Okay with Cats

Sex: Male

Birthdate: November 14, 2016

Weight: 100lbs

Jujubee is a 4yo Boxer X. He currently lives with his foster parents, his canine foster sister and two feline friends (who prefer to keep their distance from the other four-legged roommates).

Juju is house and crate trained. He was vocal for the first few days while settling in to his foster home, but has calmed down in the weeks since - his new favourite hobby is napping, and I think we can all relate to that. Heads up: he also snores!! He does well with other dogs after proper introductions and is very calm and friendly with his new cat pals! He LOVES people and is known to stop in his traacks on a walk to meet the people walking behind him.

On leash, Juju is reactive to other dogs, but is otherwise happy to trot along at his own pace. He isn't the kind of guy that wants to spend his days going on hiking adventures but enjoys a normal amount of walking! Juju is quite overweight and is working towards a healthy lifestyle, so staying on top of his diet and exercise will be important for him.

Juju enjoys rolling around in the snow and drinking lots of water.  He is a big boy and can easily knock over small humans accidentally when in a playful mood!

Here's what Juju's foster parents have to say about him:

"Jujubee will steal your heart! He's affectionate and bonds quickly with people. He is SO excited to see his foster parents when they come home from work every day. He bounces around like a puppy trying to give lots of kisses and affection. He will be your shadow and wants to be wherever you are. He's very well behaved and calm in the house, unless you deliberately get him excited about things. He sleeps a lot and likes to rotate around to different dog beds and his crate to find the most comfortable spot! He's working on being healthier and losing some weight since he was pretty rotund when he arrived - he's already come a long way and would benefit from being in a home that's committed to walking and exercising him a lot to keep him healthy and fit! He loves to play and gets a little bit jumpy when he thinks the humans want to play with him. Juju is a bit of a drooler and loves to come over and rub his face on you right after he's done drinking. He's really a sweet guy and if you want a part-time couch potato (when he's not partaking in his fitness journey) and a best friend that loves getting hugs, he's your guy!"

Our new dogs are on an INTAKE HOLD. We will accept applications and emails from approved adopters, however, we do not know enough about them to make any matches at this time. Thank you in advance for your patience as we get to know their personalities in order to find the best matches for our dogs and adopters, alike!
