Kilo (F) is a 2.5yo Swedish Vallhund. She is currently living with her foster parents, and canine foster brothers!

**We have received a lot of interest in Kilo and will not be accepting new applications at this time.**

Kilo is housetrained and crate trained but don't let her small size fool you, Swedish Valhunds are working herding breeds and need exercise and mental stimulation, and Kilo is no exception! This little girl loves learning new things and going for walks! Kilo loves all people and is incredibly affectionate, she used to live with small children and did well with them!

Kilo can be nervous meeting high energy or overbearing dogs, but with a proper introduction is great friends with them. She prefers her space and likes to approach other dogs when she is comfortable, rather than them running up into her space.  In her previous home walking on a harness and retractable leash Kilo had issues with leash reactivity and barking at people near her house, however with direction and a confident handler Kilo has been a pleasure to walk. Walking on a martingale collar Kilo can walk calmly beside her foster mom and canine foster brothers.

Kilo is very smart and a quick learner! She knows all of her basic commands and learns new commands quickly.

Here is what Kilo's foster parents have to say about her:

"Kilo is an incredibly cute and quirky girl who loves affection! She is learning to live with the other dogs in the house, but you can tell she wants the people all to herself. Although Kilo is a pretty great girl, she would benefit from regular training to use up her mental energy and continue being the best she can be. Echo can be insecure on walks, around other dogs and meeting new people, and would benefit from a confident handler who can help build her confidence instead of coddle her needy behaviour. Because she's so small and cute, she's pretty easy to coddle!"
