LEAF
AVAILABLE
Sex: Male
Birthdate: March 27, 2024
Shepherd X
Weight: 32lbs
Adoption Fee: $750
Mandatory Training: All Taffy's Legacy dogs requires a home that can commit to their training with a professional trainer to set dogs up for success. We have partnered with Training Dogs Online to give Taffy's Legacy adopters 50% off to their lifetime program, however we can also recommend other great local or online programs. Adoptions will not be finalized till we have proof of signing up with a training program that we approve of.
Vetting: Leaf is up to date on all his annual vaccines (DAPP & Rabies).
Leaf is being fostered in Cambridge.
:Dogs: Very friendly and loves to play with all dogs. Still very much in puppy stage.
Cats: Will approach and try to play.
Kids: Unknown (little exposure).
Strangers: Love people, will sit by or on your feet.
Crate Skills: Crate training is poor. He will go into the kennel without issue but also thinks it's where he's supposed to go to the bathroom. At this time we are training him to go to the bathroom before we put him in his crate. Once in the crate and no accident, will whine or bark a bit but otherwise good.
Car: No issues in the car. Likes to lie on a bed or blankets.
Leash: Generally good on leash, working on heels skills as he gets older.
Resources: No resource guarding. Will hoard toys but no aggressive.
Energy Level: High.
Confidence: Very confident and pushy. Need to be corrected sometimes.
Affection: Very cuddly. Loves to nap on you, next to you or near you.
Behavioural: Very puppy like, still needs some potty training.
Training: Super food motivated, very easy to train.
HERE'S WHAT LEAF'S FOSTER HAS TO SAY:
Leaf is a very sweet and loving dog that will make sure you are never alone or bored while he is around. He will be a forever snuggle mate that will fetch anything you throw for him. If you want a energetic dog that is ready to run around for hours with other dogs or enjoy a nice long hike, Leaf is the dog for you.
