Mandatory Training: All Taffy's Legacy dogs requires a home that can commit to their training with a professional trainer to set dogs up for success. We have partnered with Training Dogs Online to give Taffy's Legacy adopters 50% off to their lifetime program, however we can also recommend other great local or online programs. Adoptions will not be finalized till we have proof of signing up with a training program that we approve of.
Vetting: Rye is neutered and has received his first DAPP shot.

Dogs: Friendly and loves to play!
Cats: Unknown.
Kids: Unknown.
Strangers: He’s liked everyone that he’s met! He will occasionally jump up when excited which his fosters are working on with him..
Crate: Excellent. Goes right in without a fuss. He usually lies quietly until he’s let out again.
Car: Great!
Leash: Takes a while to encourage him to leave the house when he has a slip lead on but is great on walks once he gets going.
Resources: No issues.
Confidence: He’s confident and adventurous.
Energy Level: He is a puppy so still has energy. He is always happy to play, but is also happy to rest.
Affection: He LOVES receiving pets and attention. He isn’t always a cuddler with people but will cuddle next to other dogs.
Behavioural: Still occasionally jumps when excited, but making great improvements.
Training: Quick learner!
Best Traits: Quirky, adventurous, friendly and a great learner.
Needs Improvement: Learning not counter surf, and staying off beds and couches.

Rye is already such a great dog and he’s learning every day to be better behaved. He learned sit the second day we had him! He’s super friendly and loves to play with other dogs and humans. We haven’t introduced him to any person or dog he hasn’t immediately liked! He’s been a great temporary addition to our home and know he will be for you too!
